Summary: | Employee satisfaction is an important aspect which concerns most companies, including PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM). PT Toyota-Astra Motor especially conducts Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) at the end of every year to measure its employee satisfaction. Based on the results, the company can decide which aspect to be developed to make improvement.
The result of one of EOS dimension, namely fairness and consistency seems to decrease over the year. This is due to the decision and policy regarding Human Resource Management (HRM) matters are builds upon documents that are irrelevant with company’s actual state. The document includes competency dictionary and job competency profile.
This research conducts competency dictionary and job competency profile development for Area Division and Information System and Technology Division (ISTD). The development process is using TAM’s competency model as a primary reference and several competency models as a comparison. Business process approach and interview with related divisions are used in the process.
This research generates 23 functional competencies, 9 leadership competencies, and 6 core competencies for both Area Division and ISTD. These competencies will be arranged into a competency dictionary and mapped into a job competency profile matrix. By updating these documents, hopefully the policies regarding HRM matters can be developed objectively, effectively, and efficiently.
