As a result, there has been a decline in ecosystem functions and services including loss of biodiversity and the closure of climbing tourism activities in August-December 2019. Economic valuation of forest fires is needed as a reference for area management costs for the benefit of forest protection and protection. Therefore this research was conducted to calculate the value of economic losses due to forest fires in TNGC in 2019. The research was conducted in February-March 2020 at four climbing permit posts for Mount Ciremai (Linggajati, Linggasana, Palutungan and Apuy). The parameters measured come from two categories, (1) Direct impacts include (a) the value of damage to the land protection function; (b) biodiversity damage value; and (c) the value of carbon release calculated using the Benefit Transfer method, which refers to the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry No. 7 of 2014 concerning Environmental Losses Due to Pollution and Environmental Damage and (2) Indirect impacts which include (a) the value of lost revenue from business units; (b) loss of labour income; and (c) loss of non-tax state revenue (PNBP) calculated using the Forgone Earning method by conducting interviews with 28 respondents consisting of business owners and workers related to climbing tours on Mount Ciremai. Based on the analysis, it is known that the value of damage to the land protection function is Rp 9,312,100; the value of damage to biodiversity Rp1,977,002,025; and a carbon release value of Rp8,356,861,512. The estimated loss for fires with an immediate impact was IDR 19,988,637,485. The loss of income due to this fire reached IDR 721,040,415, lost income from the labour of IDR 810,784,965 and lost PNBP from tourist tickets and IUPJWA reached IDR 182,900,000. The estimated fire loss from indirect impacts was Rp1,714,725,380. Therefore, the total economic loss due to forest fires in TNGC that occurred in 2019 was IDR 12,057,901,017. Forest fires have a very large impact on the ecosystem (85.78%) compared to the social and economic impacts on the community (14.22%). text
