Increasing of needs in various sector push the further research and development in composites materials to achieve the better performance. One type of joint commonly is used as the composites joint is single-lap bolted joint. Further research related to single-lap bolted, especially related to maximum joint strength (bearing) and failure mechanism(bearing), is needed to achieve the better performance. This research will conduct joint simulation with uniaxial tensile load by varying 3 parameters with total 16 joints variant. Varies is conducted to evaluate the influence each of parameter to its performance. The model is built in continuum shell mode and evaluated using Hashin failure criteria. The results will be compared with the experiment results that is conducted in the previous research. The simulation’s results show the consistent results compared with experiment results in the previous study. Two failure mode, net-tension and bearing, occur in all joint variants. Maximum joint strength from the simulation result show the varying values and the influence each parameter regarding joint’s performance is concluded successfully. text
