The energy density of batteries that are generally used in UAVs is very low when compared to the energy density of fossil fuels. For the use of cruise missiles with long exploration durations and distances, fossil fuels are the optimal energy source to use. However, fossil fuels cannot be utilized directly as a source of electrical energy in UAVs that use DC power sources. The onboard generator is a system for converting energy from a jet turbine into electrical energy. to support fossil fuels utilization with an electric system in the UAV. In the onboard generator, a generator subsystem is needed as the main source of electrical energy and a data transfer subsystem is also needed which functions to process the output current and voltage data, also sends the information to the cruise missile control system. The subsystem converter is designed with a DC-to-DC converter in the form of a two buck-boost switch converter and a gate driver, while the data transfer subsystem utilizes GUI software developed using JavaScript and HTML to display real time data and communicate with the avionics system via serial communication, with baudrate 115200 and MAVLink communication protocol. text
