Summary:Pulo Brayan Bengkel district is one of area in Medan that consist of public settlement and specific settlement area of PT KAI employee. The district’s area is 1.06 ha with high density of population. However, there is a problem about waste water treatment plant in this area. This area doesn’t have decent technology for their domestic wastewater. It makes the area dirty, unhealthy, and has high risk to be a center of disease. This area does not include into the area that coverage by Cemara Wastewater treatment plant and not the part of SANIMAS program that held by government. Therefore, the construction of wastewater treatment plant and its sewerage is urgently needed by the resident. In the process of designing wastewater treatment plant and sewerage, it is needed to calculate population projection, wastewater quality analysis, the comparison of some technology’s option, and non-technical analysis. The selected system of design is simplified sewerage and Completely mixed activated sludge (CMAS). The configuration of selected system consists of equalization tank, sedimentation tank, CMAS, clarifier, CMAS, and Sludge Drying Bed (SDB).
