Based on Government Regulation No. 101 of 2014, vehicle maintenance and repair activities are one of the businesses that produce hazardous waste. Based on the results of the online questionnaire to the consumers with 431 respondents, it was found that 36,55% carried out hazardous waste storage without any further management and 97,06% disposed of hazardous waste together with domestic waste. In determining the generation and composition of hazardous waste from automotive shops activities, sampling was carried out at 42 unlicensed automotive shops and 11 licensed automotive shops, spread across 3 areas of Bandung City. The sampling results of hazardous waste generation for non-metal components and used oil are 1,622 kg/vehicle/day for workshops serving motor vehicles and 6,49 kg/vehicle/day for workshops serving car vehicles. The largest composition of hazardous waste produced is used oil with a percentage of 83,07% for licensed automotive shops and 76,03% for unlicensed automotive shops. The projection result of hazardous waste generation in 2020 is about 422,51 tonnes/day, this figure is not a small number considering that the hazardous waste produced can pose a risk to human health and the environment. The hazardous waste management system is integrated starting from the activities of packaging, storage, collection, transportation and utilization. The recycling process is intended for rubber material components, contaminated plastic materials, used glass and lamps, spent coolant, and used oil. text
