Description
Summary:The Bekasi Regency Government will build a Water Treatment Installation (IPA) in the Tambun Utara District, Bekasi Regency, West Java Province. The water needs of residents of the North Tambun District are currently being met by the Tirta Bhagasasi Regional Water Company (PDAM) of the Bekasi District and non-piped supply assistance. The efficiency of PDAM Tirta Bahagasasi's production is not yet adequate with service coverage only being fulfilled by 12% in 2019. Therefore, a IPA capacity of 200 liters per second will be built in the Satria Jaya Village area of Bekasi Regency with raw water coming from the Kalimalang Canal. The IPA is planned to serve eight villages in North Tambun District, namely Karang Satria, Satria Jaya, Sri Amur, Sri Jaya, Jalen Jaya, Satria Mekar, Sri Mukti, and Srimahi. The total population in the service area in 2030 is based on projections using logarithmic selected projection methods of 246,064 people. The area of the IPA planning area is 4523 m2 above the green space of the former cemetery of the local residents. Based on the results of the analysis of water quality at the Water Quality Laboratory of ITB Environmental Engineering, turbidity parameters, BOD, COD, iron, ammonia, organic substances, nitrites, total coliforms, and manganese do not meet the drinking water quality standards of the Minister of Health Regulation No. 492 of 2010 concerning Requirements for Drinking Water Quality. Alternative selection methods processing units using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) to selected treatment are a series of conventional units consisting of pre-chlorinated units, coagulation using in-line static mixers, flocculation units using hydraulic hexagonal channel baffles and sedimentation units using high-rate modular (tube) settlers.
