Hunting is the kind of deprivation of life of other creatures when viewed from the standpoint of conservation ethics. One of the rampant illegal hunting is Javan hawk-eagle hunting. The population of these animals is small due to the destruction, disturbance, and degradation of their habitat, which may be decreasing and becoming increasingly fragmented. These conditions have resulted in the Javan eagle endangered. To respond to the problems, as a student of the craft ceramic, one way in contributing to criticize the Javan hawk-eagle poaching problem that is through designing fashion accessories ceramic works of involving the community as a consumer as well as the participants using participatory design methods. This method has chosen to determine the design that consumers want. So, the problems related to Javanese eagle hunting recognized by consumers or users and can convey to the public. Accessories are chosen as a medium for implementing participatory design methods because they are close to the community. Thus, delivering messages from designers to the public regarding the recognition of the Javan eagle as a protected animal tends to be easier to achieve. The design of the fashion accessories designed will be used as a reference to represent the Javanese eagle as inspiration in creating fashion accessories with ceramic craft techniques. Then, it was realized by a participatory design method on ceramic fashion accessories inspired by Javanese eagles.
