Description
Summary:The population growth of the city of Bogor is 2.38% (BPS Kota Bogor, 2017), where the development and growth of the population of the city of Bogor will certainly be accompanied by an increasing need for clean water. On the other hand, the distribution process can cause various problems such as greater water loss and uneven water distribution. So it takes evaluation and determining the strategy related to this. In dealing with these problems, it is necessary to establish a District Meter Area (DMA) as an effort to reduce the number of water losses. In the zone 3 drinking water distribution network of Bogor city which is simulated through EPANET 2.0, a negative pressure problem is found at the highest usage pattern hours, so that an alternative is needed to optimize the drinking water distribution network. There are 2 alternatives simulated with EPANET 2.0, then an alternative selection is made using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, and alternative 1 is selected with the number of pipe additions and replacements is11 pipelines with a total requirement of HDPE and PVC pipes each of 3526 m and 546 m
