Description
Summary:Ground reaction curve is the ultimate approach in an excavation project neither it a civil tunnel nor mining tunnel. In this study author gives recommendations for ground reaction curve for various rockmass qualities using a numerical approach with finite element method two dimensions. In this case the tunnel being modeled is at depth 400 meters with unite weight 0.027 MN/m3 so that is provide a hydrostatic stress of 10.8 MPa which is the internal support pressure itself at zero meter advance. The modelling result states that each quality of rockmass has a plastic zone, which is a condition where the initial condition cannot return after a displacement occurs. The resulting displacement varies for each quality of rockmass. The worse the quality of rockmass, the greater the displacement formed.
