Summary:Mining activities are includes excavation and stockpilling. Excavation activities could accelerate accumulation of acid mine drainage because of sulfides minerals been exposed to the air (Gautama, 2012), beside this activities could influence effect like high consentration off Total Suspended Solid (TTS). Mine water with high TTS value could be treated with coagulation process. Coagulation is a process of destabilizing colloids and particles in water using chemicals 9coagulants) whincg cause clot formation (precipitates). Acid mine drainage has a metal content in the form of Al3+ which is identical to the Al3+ found in commercial coagulant, namenly alum of Al2(SO4)3. The purpose of this research is to processing water with coagulation process and flocculation with jar test method make use the composition of 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, 1:5 and 1:9, and vice versa. Jar test performed with fast stirring 120 rpm for 60 seconds and slow stirring 40 rpm for 20 minutes and settling time for 15 minutes. Water sample taken from 3 area which is GM block, KA block and KB block. KB sample pH value 7,89 and TSS 4.810 mg/L, meanwhile pH value for KA sample and GM sample each 3,98 and 4,74 with sulfides 729,25 mg/L and 232,75 mg/L with additional metal that forming complex ion like Fe and Al. Suspended solids on KB sample fall under clay mineral which dominated by kaolinite. Selected mixing optimum composition KB mixing vs GM mixing is on range 4:1 to 1:9 ratio but for KB and KA mixing is on range 3:1 to 1:3. This selection based on mixing of pH value and TSS from jar test that meet quality standars. In this research, the main component for geochemistry parameter for settling process are AI+3 and SO42- this is based on amount of aluminum flock hydroxide and formed gypsum.
