The aim of this study was to summarize secondary metabolites of marine-derived Trichoderma sp. and its antimicrobial and cytotoxicity activity. This study was conducted by reviewing articles related to marine-derived Trichoderma and its secondary metabolites in the past ten years. This study included 17 compounds which structures had been elucidated. Compounds 1–3 were tested for its activity against Mycobacterium smegmatis, Mycobacterium bovis BCG, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv. Compound 4 was evaluated for action against Candida albicans SC5314 and for synergistic antifungal activity. Compounds 5–7 were assayed for its activity against Staphylococcus aureus and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Compound 8 and 9 were evaluated for its activity against Staphylococcus aureus, vancomycin-resistant Enterococci (VRE), Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Compound 10–16 displayed cytotoxicity against cancer cell lines. Compound 17 exerted antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli. text |
