The cause of the uniqueness of this animal is due to the challenges of life and geographical isolation that it experiences in a certain area. The number of populations of this endemic species of Indonesia continues to decline and is already in a dire condition, many of which are already threatened with extinction. The highest factor affecting the decline in the number of this animal population is due to factors of conflict with humans such as development that clears forests, catching wild animals for pets, hunting wild animals for fashion products, to disposing of waste products of production and consumption that pollute the environment. Children are the target of mascot character design not only because of the lack of education on endemic animal, children also need to understand because they are the ones who then hold the future of this country. Mascots as the choice of narrative media because of the cute visual style and they're loved by children, mascots can also be used in other interactive and educational entertainment media, also childrens can easily identify themselves with the mascot characters. It is hoped that this Indonesian endemic animal mascot design can become a fun narrative medium for children. text
