Description
Summary:Nanoparticles are widely used in various fields of research, both scientific and engineering. One of the essential nanoparticles is silver nanometal. Silver nanometal has many uses, including antimicrobial agent, antifungal, antiviral, antioxidant, therapeutic, wound dressing, biosensor, coating, catalyst, etc. The production of silver nanometals is using conventional methods such as chemical and physical techniques. However, these methods have many drawbacks, including negative environmental and human impact of reagents used and high energy consumption. To solve these issues, the synthesis of silver nanometal is carried out using biological agents, such as bacteria, fungi and plants. These biological agents are more environmentally friendly and have low energy consumption. Indonesia has a wide variety of biological agents that can be used in the biosynthesis of silver nanometals. However, in-depth research on the parameters of nanometal biosynthesis is still scant. Therefore, the literature research was carried out. Hopefully, this literature research can assist further research in considering the silver nanometal biosynthesis method. This research was conducted using a literature study method. The research begins by collecting references related to topics such as characterization, toxicity, applications of silver nanometal, chemically synthesis of silver nanometal, and biosynthesis of silver nanometal. Furthermore, the references are sorted. Then, analysis is carried out, followed by drawing the conclusions to answer the research objectives. The parameters to be discussed and analyzed are pH, volume of biomass or volume ratio, concentration of precursors or AgNO3, and temperature. The results of the review show that the variations of the various parameters discussed have an influence on the silver nanometal biosynthesis process. Those parameters affect the form and size of silver nanometal, and the reaction time of the process. From the literature study, the optimal conditions for biosynthesis of silver nanometal were solution pH of 10, volume ratio of 10 – 11.11% (v/v), precursor concentration of 1 mM silver, and 100 ?C.
