The existence of sulfide mineral in mining area could produce mine water with high acidity charateristic because of oxidation reaction in between sulfide mineral, water and oxygen,inwhich called mine acid water.The existence of mine acid water could endanger environment ecosystem if it streamed down the river because of the high acidity and dissolved metal in it. Based onKeputusan Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral No. 1827 K/30/MEM/2018, mining companyhas a mandatory to study the potential of producing mine acid water and should create mine acid water management if there is possibility of producing it in their mining area.The purpose of geochemical characteristics is to determine the potential mine acid water forming and sulfide mineral oxidation rate is to determine the oxidation rate of it based on rocks sample. Based on geochemical characteristics,it could be concluded that sample ofAAT 002, AAT 430, AAT 431 andAAT 049 isPAF material meanwhile sample ofAAT 004, AAT 005 andAAT 098 isNAFmaterial.Oxidation rate is using mol approach on iron and sulfat in leachate with 3 watering cycle that is daily, 3-day, and weakly cycle. Oxidation rate that using total iron molhas oxidation rate in2,88x10-13-7,96x10-11mol/m2s meanwhile oxidation rate using sulfate mol has oxidation rate in 5,12x10-10-5,24x10-8mol/m2s. text
