Bogor is a city that is part of the Jabodetabek area, so that many activities have developed in this city. This condition also triggers the amount of waste generated where the volume of waste generated in Bogor City reaches 1,756 m3 / day. However, this can be resolved quite well so that Bogor won the Waste Reduction Performance category award from the Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) in 2019 due to the success of the steps taken by the Bogor government to manage waste by implementing 3R (Reduce, reuse, recycle) based on the community (Peraturan Daerah Kota Bogor Nomor 9 Tahun 2012 about waste management). On the other side, Bogor has number of universities which not only influence the spatial structure and patterns of the City of Bogor, but also increase the potential to realize Community Development in dealing with waste due to the presence and involvement of students. This study will identify the factors that influence the level of student involvement in waste management in residential areas, where the objects are IPB students from S1 Business and D3, as well as Babakan Village. This study uses descriptive analysis, spatial analysis, frequency, perception, and correlation (using Pearson's R and Eta test). From the results of analysis, it was found that the factors that influence the level of student involvement in solid waste and management in Babakan Sub-district are the level of student knowledge about several waste management / reduction programs, student responses to waste-caring activities, the level of student participation in waste management in the hometown, the availability of opportunities for collaboration / cooperation, the realization of IPB Green Campus, and the characteristics of the Babakan Sub-district community in inviting students to participate in waste management activities.
