Description
Summary:The logistics services industry in Indonesia is one of the industries with bright opportunities and great prospects, especially in the freight forwarding market. The magnitude of this opportunity occurs in line with the increase in air and sea transportation, the development of transportation infrastructure and an increase in the delivery of goods, an increase in industrial activity, the growth of the Fast Moving Consumer Goods market and the increasing e-commerce industry. PT. Angkasa Pura Logistik established an SBU Freight Forwarder (FF) which specifically handles FF services. One of its service products is general cargo import delivery services with incotherm Cost, Insurance, & Freight (CIF) with a volume of goods Less than Container Load (LCL). Currently, the business process being carried out is still limited to a manual implementation and the length of the process appears in terms of making decisions during the operation of the business process. To produce the best service performance for consumers, a structured (lean) business process operational system design is needed. This study uses Dave and Dave's (2017) main reference model using Business Process Management (BPM) theory. The weakness of this reference model will be complemented by the lean supply chain approach model from Sternberg & Harispuru (2017). To find the root of the problem in business processes, it is done by categorizing the root of the problem based on the transportation waste from Villarreal, et al (2016). The solution to the root of the problem is obtained with the macro-level waste elimination knowledge from Liu, et al. (2013). To design the measurement of the proposed business process implementation, a study by Mason & Lalwani (2007) is used. A bottleneck was found from the simulation results of a business process model with a scenario using Visual Paradigm 15.1 software, namely the sub-process of Approval of Persekot Funds Disbursement, Adm. Processing. Clearance of Goods, Processing of Goods at the Port, Making LPJ and Processing Invoicing. Meanwhile, the tasks that consume a lot of time and money are in the task. Inform. Doc. Schedule of Pick Up Delivery of Goods to the Operations Team & to Clients and Calling Vendor Partners for Transport Truck & Driver Rentals. Improvements are made by eliminating waste through integration of information systems that utilize technology, eliminating manual tasks with automation systems, operating changes in sub-processes and a framework for measuring the design of proposed business processes. The selected proposed business process design resulted in savings in total processing time and total costs of 12 days 7 hours 29 minutes and IDR 819,154,60.00 for the Order 1 scenario. For processing the Order 2 scenario, the total time and total cost savings of 4 days 6 hours 11 were obtained. minutes and IDR 819,154,60.00. To work on the Order 3 scenario, a total time saving of 14 days 1 hour 21 minutes was obtained with a total cost saving of Rp3,502,131.67.00.
