Description
Summary:More than half of the population world’s population lives in urban areas due to an uncontrolled increase in urbanization. Meeting the increased needs of the urban population is a major challenge. The implementation of the smart city concept is one solution approach to addressing these challenges. Smart cities can make cities more efficient in using their resources and utilizing technological innovations. The Indonesian government has initiated Gerakan Menuju 100 Smart City, including Cirebon City. Evaluation of the implementation of the smart city policy has been carried out, but it’s still aggregate and not contextual in each city. The purpose of this study is to assess the performance of Smart City implementation in Cirebon City using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP)method. This study collected primary data using an online questionnaire and secondary data from accessible sources on the internet. A systematic literature review method was conducted to determine the dimensions dan indicators of Smart City assessment in Cirebon City. While the AHP method is used for weighting dimensions and indicators. This study show that there are 6 dimensions selected along with their weight values, such as smart economy (0,084), smart people (0,241), smart governance (0,185), smart living (0,137), smart environment (0,21) and smart mobility (0,143).Based on performance assessment, smart living (97,57%) had the highest score, while smart people received the lowest score (58,09%). In general, the performance of Smart City in Cirebon City has been very good because it managed to reach 85,28%. However, there are dimensions that still need to be improved such as smart people especially with regard to access education, the percentage of people with higher education and creativity of citizens. The results of this study are expected to be an input for the local government of Cirebon City to improve the performance of smart city policy as well as useful for other cities that will or are implementing the policy.
