Description
Summary:The fashion industry in Indonesia has developed since the 1970s and has contributed significantly to state revenue. Based on data from CNBC Indonesia (2019), the development of the fashion industry is able to contribute around 18.01% or Rp. 116 trillion. The Creative Economy Agency (BEKRAF) also continues to make efforts to strengthen the ecosystem and encourage growth in this sub-sector. Fashion is not only a primary need, but has become an artistic necessity so as to encourage the growth of this industry more rapidly. The presence of digital technology is one of the factors that accelerates the development of the fashion industry in Indonesia. Every year there are young designers and new IKM (Small and Medium Industries). This has led to an expansion of the community which has increased the regularity of events. Several major fashion shows such as Jakarta Fashion Week and Indonesia Fashion Week are held regularly every year. However, the unavailability of facilities to support these activities causes the event to be less comfortable and efficient. Indonesia Fashion Hub is here with the hope of being able to respond to the development of issues in the fashion industry and provide a place for fashion activists to meet, exchange ideas, work, and innovate.
