Rice is the staple food of the Indonesian population, but Brown Planthopper pest attack (WBC) can threaten its availability. Seeing the many previous studies that tried to predict WBC abundance using a method with data criteria that were inconsistent with the nature of the WBC abundance data, it was necessary to conduct research to find the best method in predicting WBC population abundance. This research was conducted in Jatisari, Karawang with the data used in the form of manual observation data. The method used in this research is GLiM (Generalized Linear Model) and PCA (Principal Component Analysis). The results of this study indicate that the prediction of WBC pests using weather parameters in Jatisari, Karawang is not suitable for using the Generalized Linear Model (GLiM) and the effect of weather parameters on WBC abundance is not always the same in all places.
