Apartment construction is one of the solutions offered as the best solution for providing housing or housing for the community, due to limited land and expensive land prices. The role of the interior greatly affects the comfort level of apartment dwellers. One of the rooms that most often used by apartment dwellers is the kitchen. The kitchen that available in the apartment has a limited area, but must include all of activities needed for cooking. The purpose of this study is to provide a solution in the form of a multifunctional kitchen design to the problem of limited space in the kitchen. The method used is literature, field research and interviews. The results of this study are multifunctional kitchens that apply a compact, modular system that not only utilizes the horizontal side, but also the vertical. So it can make a neat and clean kitchen that matches the spacious studio type of apartment room.
