Description
Summary:Some provinces in Indonesia require Al-quran to children's literacy as a prerequisite to rise to further education. For example, to enter junior high school, children must be able to read and write Al-quran. In addition, when the authors conducted a field study it turned out that nearly 3-4 children out of 6 children in each group were not yet good and fluent in reading the hijaiyah letters. Therefore this study aims to help children learn hijaiyah but with an educational toy approach. This research uses participant observation method, with ethnography approach and literature study. Furthermore, after reviewing, there are opportunities for problem solving with products in the form of educational toys to help learn to read hijaiyah, by adapting the montessori and ardhul qiraah methods, which stimulate children with multisensory methods (audio, visual and tactile.)
