To increase the effectivity and efficiency in the distribution of fuel oil to Central Kalimantan, a liquid bulk dock was built at the Pangkalan Bun Fuel Terminal, Central Kalimantan Province. The study of the berth structure design is located in Kumai River, Kumai District, Kotawaringin Barat Regency, Central Kalimantan, indoneisa. The berth structure is designed in accordance to the environmental condition at the dock location and the loading to the dock structure, consisted of berthing load, mooring load, dead loas, human load, operational load, and environmental load. The initial design or primary design produces the dimensions of the berth structure and the structural element of berth structure based on the dominant load on the berth structure. The berth structure then is modeled using structural analysis software, optimization or change of berth structue are carried out to obtain the values of UCR and deflection that meets the used design criteria. The output of structural modeling after obtaining the optimum design is the internal force of concrete elements and support reaction of the berth structure. Internal force is used in the next step, that is design of reinforcement for the structural element of berth structure. Next, the required depth of pile is calculated for each dock structure in accordance to the value of support reaction obtained from the structural model and soil condition data at the dock location. This Final Project will produce design plan consisting of berth structures and elements of berth structure dimension, reinforcement for element of berth structure, and depth of berth structure piles. text |

Indonesia is an archipelago country in which most of its territory is sea. This
condition makes maritime transportation plays an important role in distributing the
commodities that is needed by the community, one of which is fuel oil. To increase the
effectivity and efficiency in the distribution of fuel oil to Central Kalimantan, a liquid bulk
dock was built at the Pangkalan Bun Fuel Terminal, Central Kalimantan Province. The study
of the berth structure design is located in Kumai River, Kumai District, Kotawaringin Barat
Regency, Central Kalimantan, indoneisa. The port is planned to receive the tankers MT Iriani
(1100 DWT) and MT Musi (3540 DWT)
This Final Project dicusses about structural design of dolphin type liquid bulk dock consisting
of loading platform, breasting dolphins, mooring dolphins, trestle, and catwalks. The berth
structure is designed in accordance to the environmental condition at the dock location and the
loading to the dock structure, consisted of berthing load, mooring load, dead loas, human load,
operational load, and environmental load. The initial design or primary design produces the
dimensions of the berth structure and the structural element of berth structure based on the
dominant load on the berth structure. The berth structure then is modeled using structural
analysis software, optimization or change of berth structue are carried out to obtain the values
of UCR and deflection that meets the used design criteria. The output of structural modeling
after obtaining the optimum design is the internal force of concrete elements and support
reaction of the berth structure. Internal force is used in the next step, that is design of
reinforcement for the structural element of berth structure. Next, the required depth of pile is
calculated for each dock structure in accordance to the value of support reaction obtained from
the structural model and soil condition data at the dock location.
This Final Project will produce design plan consisting of berth structures and elements of berth
structure dimension, reinforcement for element of berth structure, and depth of berth structure
piles. |
