During the operation of a floating wind turbine, the structure of the wind turbine must be able to maintain stability, movement, and withstand environmental forces. Environmental forces are divided into waves, winds and currents. In this final project, the type of floating structure used is semi submersible with a ballast value that is determined according to the target depth of the floating structure draft. The analysis that will be carried out is about the influence of the direction of environmental forces on the response of motion and the effective tension of the mooring lines. The analysis process is carried out by first determining the shape and dimensions of the semi submersible floating structure and modeling using two software, one to model the structure and the second to model the mooring rope and the load from environmental forces. The analysis of the structural movement constraints refers to the recommended offset limits from the ocean engineering journal, while the mooring effective tension refer to the American Bureau of Shipping. Additional analysis was also carried out, namely the comparison between the two mooring rope configurations which would result in a more optimal value. text
