WATER SUPPLY AND ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE CONDITION IN RESIDENTIAL AREA LEMBANG, PADALARANG, AND PARONGPONG DISTRICT, WEST BANDUNG REGENCY

In society, various activities need different supporting facility. Infrastructure development has to be compatible with specific functions and components that people need. As Metropolitan Bandung Raya continues to grow, its surrounding areas also begin to develop and grow, which is West Bandung Regency. Population growth has resulted in increasing land and space demand. In particular, housing needs tend to increase as well. This is captured as an opportunity for private developers to begin developing their own residency. As it is happened in West Bandung Regency, Housing development rises. However, it needs to be watch further how those developers’ behaviour is like while fulfilling people’s needs with the infrastructure development and service they build. In order to support and optimize housing function, there needs to be appropriate and adquate infrastructure support, especially in this research focused on water supply and road condition. It needs to be examined further whether the infrastructure services are suitbale and compatibel according to standard, provision, and policy, if there was some connections between housing characteristics and specific conditions of teh infrastructure components. The housing characteristics that will be considered are the number of houses and house lot area. Linkage and connection between those factors are analyzed by using association method to demonstrate and describe whether there is any connection between housing characteristics and infrastructure provision. Based on the analysis conducted, there are connection between number of houses and house lot area with road hierarchy, also road lighting with house lot area. Thus, it could be concluded that there are only few connections between housing characteristics and infrastructure conditions.
