description Vision impairment is a condition of the inability of the human eye to see normally, ranged from a minor impairment to blindness. The potential for the Indonesian population to experience visual disturbances is very high. The prevalence of blindness in Indonesia in 2018 reached 3,099,346 people out of a total of 200 million people and continues to increase over time. Regarding these various issues, vision disturbance that were previously categorized as medical problems have now shifted into social problems. Of the various causes of vision impairment and blindness, the highest dominance of vision impairment in Indonesia is due to cataracts, refractive disorders and glaucoma, and the majority of these types of diseases are categorized as vision impairment that can be prevented and treated medically, meaning that the disease is not congenital and the carelessness of the person is a the main causal factor. Furthermore, in the survey and case study, the author also found another issue in the form of a lack of local corneal donors, which has an impact on the reduced welfare of the sufferers due to impaired work productivity. The main reason for the high number of people with vision impairment of blindness was due to they did not know if they had cataracts and did not know that they could be cured (43.5% in West Papua, 44.4% NTT, 26.8% Bali and 41.3% in the Central Java), costs (36.6% in Maluku, 40.5% in NTB, 31.5% in East Java, 31.9% in West Java, 33.3% in West Sumatra and 33.3% in North Sumatra), thought that they did not need surgery (49.7% in South Sulawesi) and the last reason was fear of surgery by 30% of the population of Jakarta. In contrast to vision impairment, in the case of the minimal number of local corneal donors due to the familiarity of the term eye donation for people in Indonesia, the number of cancellations of eye donation is very high due to various factors such as belief, culture and a lack of desire to help others. From the description above, it can be concluded that in general there are still many people who are not sensitive to the importance of maintaining eye health and the lack of information about eye health amidst their busy lives. In response to the case study, the appropriate facilities to meet these needs are commercial facilities with a typology of a health center with a base of activities centered on collaboration between medical and social activities. The objectives of iv such facility include inviting and educating the public to know more about the importance of maintaining eye health and commercially campaigning eye donation activities, meeting community needs in the health sector by creating a social and medical-based health facilities, increasing community productivity by reducing the number of people with vision impairment, realizing spatial facilities with a living environment that supports the physical, psychological and image needs of a friendly and light health facility. This project is an interior design project with the status of proposed and managed by the private sector, addressed at Jl. Cicendo No.2 Pasir Kaliki, Cicendo subdistrict, Bandung, West Java 40171. The interior design area of 2,847 m2 will try to come up with secondary eye health facility, which emphasizes on preventive measures through education and promotion. The facility will carry the concept of "social engagement" in which the design aspect will be based on the idea of how to persuade the attention of visitors to visit the facility through specific programs, services and interior design. The theme of this design will try to create an interior design that is able to attract visitors with a design atmosphere that does not exert pressure through the concept of forms, elements of space, colors and materials. The issue of universal design is also presented to support the utility value of people with disabilities and at the same time create an interior facility targeted at a wide audience.
