Description
Summary:In recent years, the trend of coworking space has become a widespread phenomenon in Indonesia. Coworking space users are different from conventional office users, with different needs for the facilities as well. A lot of existing coworking spaces use the same kind of furniture as office furniture or cafe furniture, which do not fully support the needs of coworking space users. This provides an opportunity for further innovation and development of a new kind of furniture that is specialized for coworking spaces as a facility that supports users needs and comfortability. The purpose of this study is to review and analyze the activities and the needs of users in a coworking space—working, studying, taking a rest, having discussions, eating and drinking, as well as the needs for personal items storage—to design a furniture set specialized for them. The result of this study is a set of a table and chair with following characteristics: comfortable, compact, portable, flexible, accommodating the needs of users, and equipped with a storage system.
