The growth of the livestock sector is influenced by diseases in livestock caused by various infectious microorganisms. To ensure that livestock production is maintained, it requires farmers to use antimicrobial drugs (antibiotics) to protect and maintain animal health during production. The low level of knowledge and awareness of farmers about the use of antibiotics can lead to the occurrence of Antimicrobial Resistant (AMR) (Friedman et al., 2007). This study used a mixed method by collecting quantitative data supported by qualitative data. It was found that 60% of respondents had a good level of knowledge. It was found that 60% of respondents had a good level of knowledge about antibiotics and as many as 46% had a poor level of knowledge of resistant antibiotics. 48% respondents attitude towards antibiotics has a good level, and as many as 72% of respondents are in the bad category in the practice of using antibiotics. In this study, it was found that there are some factors that influence the use of antibiotics, including economic factors, accessibility factors for veterinarians, confidence factors, and accessibility factors to get antibiotics. text |
