Summary: | Cikapundung Riverspot and Teras Cikapundung are examples of public open
spaces as a result of the Cikapundung River restoration program implemented by the
Citarum River Basin Center (BBWS Citarum) together with the City Government of
Bandung in order to organize the riverbank area. As an urban waterfront area, it is
important to realize that the development process must not only be oriented towards
direct ecological functions, but also by considering the involvement of human inhabitants
of the city by maximizing social functions and other supporting functions. Therefore, the
perception among public open space users regarding its function is interesting to learn.
Information about user perceptions can be found on a wide selection of online platforms
that can be used to voice their assessment of their experiences in using public open
spaces, one of which is well known to the public is the Google Maps reviews platform.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the function of public open space as part of the
Cikapundung River restoration based on the user s perceptions in Google Maps reviews.
In this study, a text mining method was used with data presentation in descriptive
quantitative and qualitative ways, with data sourced from literature studies, interviews,
field observations, and Google Maps reviews obtained by data mining. In the first stage,
identification of the functions formed in public open spaces is based on their
characteristics. In the next stage, identification of visitor perceptions will be carried out
based on general Google Maps review data. The last stage is carried out by analyzing
the comparison between functions based on the characteristics of public open spaces with
functions formed based on visitor perceptions. The results can be concluded that the
characteristics of public open spaces are closely related to perceptions of the functions
that are generated from visitor reviews, and the information obtained from Google Maps
reviews is sufficient to represent social, economic, and aesthetic functions. |
