Summary: | <b> Abstract :</b><p align=\"justify\"> <br />
RAPS, High Altitude Platform System, is the new communication system which have a potential to be implemented as telecommunication infrastructure in Indonesia. The demand of bandwidth, especially for Internet application has been growing rapidly, but unfortunately Indonesian has small bandwidth capacity, HAPS will answer this problem. However, as a new system, HAPS has some characteristics that can affect to the performance of TCP. Several changes have been proposed that could help TCP performance and bandwidth optimizing over the wireless link Using simulation method, this study was to investigate the performance of TCP variant, such as TCP Reno, TCP New Reno, and TCP SACK over HAPS communication. Simulation results show that implementation of TCP New Reno can improves on utilization of the RAPS bandwidth.<p align=\"justify\"> <br />
Another results, TCP New Reno is the most \'fair\" while sharing the bandwidth and TCP SACK is the least but it has the highest utilization. |
