Summary: | Cultural diversity is a wealth owned by Indonesia, making it something that must
always be preserved in the next generation. Textile crafts that can be used for specific
purposes can be done as a form of preservation of Indonesian culture.
Sigale-gale, one of Indonesian culture, located in Toba Samosir, is an icon of local
tourism. The traditional art of Sigale-gale has a legend that is closely related to the
life of the Batak people to this day.
Seeing the interesting side of the values contained in the Sigale-gale legend, there is
an interest to be explored in the form of illustrations on textile media. This work was
created as a form of cultural preservation owned by Indonesia.
