The number of voltage dips you experience depends on both the level of voltage being served and your location. Electrical equipments cannot operate properly if the voltage dips more than the immunity built into the equipment. The ability for equipment to continue operating through voltage dips can vary widely, but most equipment automatically shuts down when a dip is too deep.

This thesis concerns on voltage dips on distribution lines, and investigation has been conducted for calculating short circuit due single line ground faults. For conducting this study the author made use of EMTP program.

Simulation results indicate the influences of single line ground faults to voltage dips. Actual data from PLN and the result of simulations, electrical equipment cannot continue operating when a voltage dips is too deep and long of durations.
