Description
Summary:Each city has its own uniqueness with all the stories that make up the characters in it. Bandung, as one of the metropolitan cities in Indonesia, has a number of stories that make Bandung as Creative City by UNESCO. Not only for the uniqueness as a creative city, Bandung also has several cultural heritage buildings scattered all over the city, and one of them is the Gudang Persediaan PT KAI Cikudapateuh which is currently in an almost neglected condition. Therefore, the idea for conservation of the industrial heritage building was initiated to regenerate the area as a cultural and creative facilities. The aim of the cultural and creative facilities design is one in which these two aspects can function as a catalyst or engine in the regeneration process of the PT KAI warehouse area. The regeneration process aims to improve the quality of each building in the warehouse area as well as provide a new type of public space for the people of Bandung. The method for the regeneration of this industrial cultural heritage area is carried out by placing several activities such as cultural and creative businesses, galleries, amphitheater, and joint workspaces which are carried out through several adaptive-reuse approach methods in each building. Not only utilizing spaces in buildings, several landscapes in the area are also used as public spaces and facilities for several activities that support cultural and creative activities.
