Poor understanding of design concepts will hinder the aircraft design process. At the time of the lecture, many students did not understand the interaction between design disciplines. Students also need a lot of time to make analysis tools for each discipline in the preliminary design phase, so that students do not have enough time to consider the outline of the aircraft design itself. Another actual condition is that the iterations carried out to design the aircraft have not been optimal, which has resulted in discontinuous design parameters. Visualization of aircraft design is also often not clearly stated, because the process of aircraft design evolution still occurs before documentation of the aircraft design is collected. In this final project, an application will be developed that can help the aircraft design education process that is relevant to lectures in Aerospace Engineering ITB. The application will be designed using a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. This application is expected to help the ideal design process that is hampered by limited processing time. The application is also expected to help increase the number of design iterations, so that students can produce aircraft designs that can be accounted for in the conceptual and preliminary design phases. The aircraft design visualization is also displayed in the application, so that the design calculation parameters can be immediately considered by students. text |
