Description
Summary:Ternate Port or known as Ahmad Yani Port is a port managed by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia IV and is located in Ternate City, North Maluku Province. Located in the eastern part of Indonesia, where sea transportation is more dominant due to its landscape, this port plays an important role in the mobilization of passengers and the distribution route for goods. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the quality of port handling in accordance with the wishes of development in the city of Ternate and its surroundings. The design of container handling at Ternate Port is needed to maximize activity at the container terminal. In this final project, operational system design refers to Keputusan Menteri No 68/2020 about Rencana Induk Pelabuhan Ternate. This final project discussion includes operational system design of wharf and container yard, and calculation of costs and handling fee. The operational system design of wharf includes determining the alternative mooring, determining the type and number of loading and unloading equipment, loading and unloading equipment productivity, and determining the capacity of the wharf. The operational system design of container yard includes determining the orientation of the container yard, determining the type and number of equipment in the yard, the productivity of the equipment in the yard, and the calculation of the container yard capacity. The calculation of costs and handling fee includes calculating the cost of capital incurred, calculating the total expense each year during the payback period, and determining the container handling fee.
