Summary: | Indonesia is a country that is located at the intersection of three main plates, so the potential for a tsunami event in Indonesia is quite high. Indonesia is ready to prepare 160 tidal stations which are well-known in Indonesian territory as an early warning system in order to reduce losses caused by the tsunami phenomenon. However, the distribution of these tide stations is still lacking in recording tsunami signals, so that additional tidal stations are needed. Therefore, a tsunami simulation location was carried out in order to take advantage of the new tidal station points which would later assist the Indonesian Tsunami Early Warning System (InaTEWS). The tsunami simulation in this study uses the COMCOT v.1.7 numerical model, in which there are three domains with 13 scenarios. The data used are bathymetry data from BATNAS, the height of the PTHA tsunami data, data on the distribution of tidal stations and ports along the Indonesian coast, and earthquake parameters. The simulation results show that from 81 evaluation points, 17 tide stations are selected as points that are considered because can receive tsunamis faster 1 shows a 7 minute signal that the BIG tide station has been installed. Of these 17 location points, the value of the fastest arrival time to record a tsunami signal is called 0 minutes, because at that location it is at broken subduction. |
