Traditionally, this genus has been known as one of the useful plants as medicinal benefit. Studies on the bioactivity of Croton show that this plant produced a number of benefits, including as an antihypertensive, antiinflammatory, antimalarial, antimicrobial, antiulcer, antiviral, myorelaxant, antidiabetic, and anticancer. One of the species of this genus is Croton caudatus. Isolation of secondary metabolites from the stem of Croton caudatus by solid-liquid extraction at room temperature to yield acetone extract. The separation and purification of compounds used gravity column chromatography and radial chromatography methods. Two pure compounds have been yielded, named lupeol (I), ent-kaurenoic acid (II), and mixture of stigmasterol and ?-sitosterol (IIIa and b). The structure of the those compounds was determined through 1D (1H-NMR and 13C-NMR) and 2D (HSQC, HMBC, and ROESY) NMR spectroscopic analysis. Compund I and II were screened against eight tyrosine kinase enzymes, consist of three receptor tyrosin kinases (RTKs) and five non-receptor tyrosin kinases (nRTKs). The screening showed that both compounds were inactive as tyrosin kinase inhibitors. text
