Indonesia is a maritime country with an area of water exceeding its land area.
However, the abundance of resources in the Indonesian waters is not matched by the
quality of the water. In order to continue to meet the need for water resources, various
efforts have been made, including monitoring existing water resources. One method
for monitoring the quality of water resources can be done by using various types of
water pollution detection sensors. These sensors measure the level of water quality by
putting it in the water. The sensors will generate temperature and humidity data in the
environment around the water, the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) value, and the
turbidity value of water, the acidity and alkaline levels of the water, and measure the
water temperature.
The final objective of this research was to make a prototype of production-ready. Data
from prototype measurement results can be integrated so that it can be monitored by
central operators through water quality measurement results stored on the server. The
system was used in floating net cages, therefore a feasible communication system with
a wide coverage capability and minimum power consumption is needed. LoRa®
