Fulfillment of consumption the carnal of animal protein in East Kalimantan is still 68,23% or consumption per capita per year are 9.22 kg of meat, 2.9 kg of egg and 5.09 kg of milk. The biggest amount of meat consumption is from broiler chicken, that is 40.95% which is the large part of them is supplied from folk husbandry.<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> Poultry businesses in East Kalimantan comprised of 2 (two) systems, they are Core-Plasma Partnership System and Individual System. Plasma ranch-owners who are following partnership system are only providing corral, workforces, equipment, electricity and water supply, but seedling (DOC), weft, and medicine, technical mentoring and marketing is provided and handled by core company. When harvest time, core company will cut the plasma ranch-owners debt for DOC, weft and medicine. If having lost, the core company will take responsibility for DOC, weft and medicine. Otherwise, plasma will receive bonus when \"Feed Conversion Ratio\" is less than core company\'s standard FCR Meanwhile, individual ranch owners, take all the responsibility regarding their ranch, such as operational costs, investments and marketing.<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> The outcome of comparison study on the plasma and individual ranch-owners of 5000 population per cycle, revealed that net profit of individual ranch-owners more than plasma ranch owners, that were Rp. 16,256,396 (individual ranch owners) and Rp. 1,573,421 (plasma ranch owners) respectively. By comparison the result of analysis based on three conditions, showed that the average of Internal Rate of Return (ERR) of plasma ranch owners was 29,97% or less than individual ranch owners that was 74,69%. However, the risk rate indicated by coefficient of variation, those were, 0.2242 due to plasma ranch owners, was higher than 0.0714 due to individual ranch owner. <p align=\"justify\"> <br /> Based on the outcome of differential test with 95% degree of confidence, between the plasma and individual ranch owners, there were not any significant differences for input rate. However, by further espectively. DOC and weft cost on plasma was higher than individual ranch owners. Meanwhile, selling price on plasma was less than individual ranch owners.<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> Regarding the disparity of input and output between plasma and individual ranch owners that high enough, then it is proposed to perform improvement of finance aspect focusing on the current selling price that is applied to plasma ranch owner and the interest rate is 18 % per year by giving consideration for the core company profit . From the five proposed options, only the option of number two is recommended. <br /> For individual ranch owners, from analysis of economic and finance feasibility, they are good enough, they only just need market guarantee, and mentored about capital and technical aspect. <br /> The role of government in animal husbandry development as facilitator, motivator, regulator, supervisor and all services should be improved properly toward both partnership and individual system in order to attain full growth of both of them. <br /> text |
