That may create a wrong prediction of stress in blades, increased noise, increasing production cost and operation cost related with energy consumption. Therefore, evaluation in equation of centrifugal fan including numerical analysis considering experiment result from fabricator is required. Evaluation of equation of velocity coefficient and CFD analysis are covered into numerical analysis. Numerical analysis is started with data collection from fabricator and numerical coefficient from previous research that had been conducted. Analysis is conducted to 3 unit of centrifugal fan, in details of 1 unit single blade and 2 unit double blade. Fan parameter coming from fabricators become data input for calculation based on equation of design, CFD, and evaluation of velocity coefficient. After calculation processes are conducted, performance curves of each centrifugal fan model are obtained. The performance curves are obtained from the result of evaluated equation for calculation, CFD, and fabricator experiment. Performance curve based on evaluated equation is considered as a valid result because of having different values with experiment result under 10%, specifically 0.5?6.2%. In other side, performnace curve based on CFD result is also considered as a valid result because of having different values with experiment result under 5%, specifically 0.1?5%. Overall performance curves have different value lower than or equal with 10%. Therefore, the evaluated equation is able to be used for calculation of backwardcurved centrifugal fan with a big diameter (2.28-3.51 m) . text |
