INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/52295 The Indonesian National Standard (SNI) is the only standard that applies nationally in Indonesia, and is a reference used in product certification. Product certification is authorized by the certification bodies, which carry out a series of assessment activities. The increasing enactment of compulsory SNI has impacted the demand for product certification. The product certification bodies, primarily owned by the government, are required to satisfy the demand within their limited resources. This research deals with the assessment scheduling problem at product certification bodies at LSPro X, a product certification body under the Indonesian government. The proposed model schedules the number of assessments to a time slot (month). The arrangement are limited by several constraints, such as the number of personnel required in foreign assessments or competent personnel for a particular commodity. In addition, the allocation to time slots is also constrained. The model tries to obtain a balanced distribution of the monthly assessments throughout the year. Futhermore, placement into time slots is carried out as close as possible to the month of demand. The results of the LSPro X data are able to provide a perfectly even distribution of the assessment with a maximum two-month shift of the assessment. The model offers flexibility in assigning specific personnel while ensuring the solution feasibility to personnel constraints. text |
