Though the sign is inside the data, its existance can not be percepted by human, and also it Will not increase the data's size. The main purpose using Watermark is to show the data's ownership legally, so tvatermark itself has to represent one certain information. <br /> There are many ways to embed watermark into the data. and they depend on the data's type. For sound data, watermark embedding has to overcome human's high hearing sensitivity, which this sensitivity is even much higher than human's sight sensitivity. Watermark itself is actually a noise signal. that's why for sound data, watermark's amplitudo is usually very low. <br /> This thesis explains an algorithm to embed and detect Watermark inside sound data. The algorithm is based on a concept to shape watermark signal from sound signal itself; so 1atermark's amplitude can be higher. High amplitude will increase watermark's strength especially when the sound data is in a noisy enviroment such as telephone line and radio broadcasting. The algorithm is then implemented with Matlab version 6. text
