The physical condition and psychology of pregnancy are triggers that can hinder the healing process in women’s and children’s hospital environment. This shows the need for midwifery medical care rooms that prioritize the physical and psychological health of mothers who are vulnerable to anxiety. Through the research and design stages, design criteria are arranged in the building of women’s and children’s hospital. The research method in compiling design criteria is done by collecting data, reviewing the psychology of pregnancy to review therapeutic environmental theory from various literature. Conclusion The theoretical study was analyzed to compile the appropriate therapeutic environmental criteria in the application of the design of women’s and children’s hospital building. The design of the physical environment of women’s and children’s hospital with therapeutic environmental approaches can help to heal processes for pregnant women. Some architectural elements are applied to facilities such as inpatient rooms, outpatient rooms, yoga and therapy areas and supporting areas that have a positive influence on the healing process. text |
