Summary:<b>Abstract:<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> Technology selection is a crucial process for the business success. The problems faced are harmonizing the goal to be achieved with the implementation plan, large number of product vendors, and the pressure to obtain the latest technology. Selection methodology is a tool to help the process of selection by way of structured and organized steps in order to give the best result and at the same time reduce risks that could occurred.<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> In this theses a selection of a network management system for Indosat is developed using adopted methodology from Capterra. Study was conducted starting from planning, requirement-identification, product evaluation up to selection phases.<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> In the planning phase, data resources for research stem from interviews with competent management representatives and long term corporate development plan. The main output resulted from planning phase is identification of solution to achieve business objectives by implementing new technology. At the requirement-identification phase, activities carried out were collation of latest technology features in network management industry, potential vendor list, and list of evaluation criteria. Evaluation criteria developed involve functional, technical, operational, and vendor support aspects. Subsequently, during the evaluation and selection phases, the list of required features was compared with the products from selected vendors using the evaluation criteria as reference and then the result is scored. Difficulties faced in the whole process are selection of methodology, development of evaluation criteria, priority setting, and scoring of vendor-products features.<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> The final result obtained is the most viable product to be selected, i.e product which gained the best evaluation score. Substantial notes for system implementation is also provided.
