The structures of the two compounds were determined on the basis of UV and IR spectra, as well as by comparison with reference compounds. The compounds were isolated from dichlorometane fraction obtained from methanol extract of the heartwood of the plant. The isolation of these compounds were carried out using various separation and purification steps, including chromatographic and crystallization techniques. text
