Description
Summary:Based on its geographical position, Central Sulawesi has big potential for geological disasters, such as earthquake, tsunami, liquefaction, landslide, and so on. This is not matched with the level of knowledge of the Central Sulawesi community on disaster mitigation. For this reason, a facility in the form of a Tsunami Museum is needed to become a center for public education on disaster science. In the process of designing the Tsunami Museum, most frequently used research methods include quantitative methods, survey methods and descriptive methods. The data found include capacity, security standards, history and other important data. The result of this design is a Tsunami Museum, which is not only a place to storing valuable items, but also can be an information center and a monument to remembering historical events in Palu City. This design can also be a learning object, evaluation, as well as community and designer considerations in designing a public facility.
