This field is covering an area approximately 35 km2 and geologically located in Salawati Basin. The study takes focus on Kais Formation as the oil reservoir consists of limestone. The aim of this study is to learn about the geological condition, determining geological model and distribution of revoir properties, estimating the volume of hydrocarbon reserve, and to evaluate the geological risk for exploration in the study area. Data used in this study are wireline log, cuttings and side wall core descriptions, biostratigraphy reports, also 3D seismic data. Several methods used in this study are sequence stratigraphy well correlation, facies and depositional environment analysis, petrophysics analysis, well to seismic tie, creating time and depth structure maps, Isopach determination, three-dimensional structure modelling, facies and petrophysical models, determination of fluid contacts, hydrocarbon volume estimation, and geological risk assessment. All those methods showed the result of geological condition of study area. Geological structure found in Mawar field consist of N-S relative normal fault associated with same direction fold which are controlled by the left-lateral strike-slip fault Sorong Fault. Based on the depositional analysis, Kais Formation was deposited transgressively in three phase from platform interior, platform margin, slope, and toe of slope (basinal limestone). The traps found in study area consist of structural trap such as normal fault associated with fold which formed the three-way dip closures associated with faults. Based on the petrophysical analysis, Kais Formation has shale volume range about 55%, effective porosity range from 3-11%, and water saturation range 60-80%. Hydrocarbon volume estimation (OOIP) divided in 5 prospects with Prospect A at 75,29 MMBO, Prospect B 192,68 MMBO (high) and 18,23 (low), Prospect C 61,91 MMBO (high) and 9,30 (low), Prospect D 0,73 MMBO, and Prospect E at 2,14 MMBO (high) and 0,01 (low). Prospects zone rank from the highest to the lowest possibility are Prospect A, B, C, D, and E. text
