Apart from the many achievements made by Indonesian badminton athletes, badminton has the highest position in sports championships such as the Pekan Olahraga Nasional. Being a good badminton athlete needs more than just physical abilities. The achievements and efforts to improve or maintain such achievements also impacts the judgement of “good” athletes. In addition, an athlete must go through national training and selections to play professionally. The teen age group has many opportunities for innovation in the training context, because the training program is the most complex and requires a minimum provincial level achievement certificate/charter to keep the young athlete status. However, badminton training centers/academies cannot guarantee all young athletes to pass the selection and there is the possibility of relegation. Relegation is the consequence of the lack of performance in a certain period of time. This research method uses a study on scientific journals and official documents of the Indonesian badminton talent scouting agency, surveys for badminton athletes, observation of badminton training center training programs, and the design of youth badminton athlete training products. The purpose of this research is to design a spontaneous and random launches of shuttlecocks which is expected to be able to solve the gap between the power training program and the real championship match. text |
