Summary:<b>Abstrct:<p align="justify"> <br /> Staphylococcus aureus containing enterotoxin B-encoding gene in a kind of fast food had been screened using Baird-Parker Agar media and identified using Polytnerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and the PCR product was determined using direct DNA sequencing method. PCR was performed using S aureus ATCC 14458 by amplifying its entB DNA fragment using a pair of primer F-entB and R-entB resulting a DNA fragment of 477 base pairs. The PCR product was digested using Ilinf I restriction enzyme which electrophoretically showed two fragments of 361 and 116 bps. Sequencing analysis using BLAST program proved that PCR product contained the DNA fragment which had 94% homology to nucleotide sequence of entB gene fragment obtained from GenBank. PCR analysis of 15 isolates of S. aureus using S aureus ATCC 14458 as a positive control showed that all isolates did not contain entB-encoding gene.
