The objective of this paper is to find the characteristics in each personality types by combining two personality types model from Klontz et al., (2011) and Alexandra et al. (2017). This study found that Money Vigilance is the most dominant financial personality type among Indonesians. In addition, the findings also shown there are mixed personality types. This research also generated four divided clusters that dominantly shown in Cluster 2 that conclude most respondents showed frugality and saving behaviour towards their financial personality. The impact towards over-indebtedness is significantly shown in the lack of budget planning and lack of saving attitude that goes along with previous research. The limitation of this research is that this research only consists of respondents who comes from uneven age ranges, the dominant respondents are 18 – 25 years old (73.56% of total respondent), the domicile background is dominated in Jabodetabek area (71.53% of total respondent) and the income range is dominated with respondents who earn below Rp 5.000.000,- per month (53.33% of total respondent). In the future, the author suggests that larger sample size with larger differences of background, ethnic and interests with different methods of analysis are also recommended to be applied. text |
